Ariana Grande: Girl 2 Watch Interview

Ariana Grande chatted with Girl 2 Watch about twitter, Broadway in South Africa and her experience in 13.

On landing the role in Broadway musical, 13: “I was very fortunate to do 13 with my best friend, Aaron [Simon Gross], who I grew up with in Florida. We were friends since we were like six years old and it’s just so crazy ironic that we were both cast; these two kids from Boca, in a Broadway musical together. You would think that it would be totally exhausting and, at some points, it was, but there was never a night where it wasn’t like, ‘I want to do another show.’ It was amazing.”

On connecting with her fans: “If I meet a fan, I will Tweet at them. I will be like, ‘What’s your Twitter name? Because we need to be Tweet friends.’ You have to be thankful and I think being in this business is one of the most important things is to give back because there’s no better feeling than knowing that your work is being appreciated by people.”

On Broadway in South Africa: “It’s just incredible because there’s kids from the age of four to 18 and just they just light up with the music and everything. It’s just amazing to see that they can be so happy in such a sad position, and it’s amazing to know that you can touch somebody’s life.”
